It is hard to believe it is November 1, and that our first report cards of the school year, marking your children’s Term 1 progress, will be ready for your viewing this Wednesday, November 4, online through MyCBE / PowerSchool. No printed report cards are produced as they can be downloaded through the MyCBE portal. If you require a printed copy please email ernestmanning@cbe.ab.ca.

As a complement to all the detailed information on the Ernest Manning Website, we bring you this edition of the Weekly Rundown.

While attendance is not mandatory, teachers proactively reach out to all students to inform them of these opportunities. Examples: credit rescue; targeted support or intervention; and targeted assistance with assignment completion for specific outcomes. Please refer to the Exam Period Schedule here.

Unique Pathways Dual Credit and Exploratory Programing for Grade 11 and 12 Students

The CBE collaborates with post-secondary institutions, industry partners, and community organizations to offer a wide-range of unique opportunities for students. These range from practical, hands-on learning experiences in Exploratory programs to Dual Credit courses and programs that allow students to participate in post-secondary learning with the support of a supervising CBE teacher. These programs allow students to complete high school their own way, and set students up for future success by easing the transition to post-secondary learning and/or the workplace.  Students interested in these unique programs are encouraged to look at the programs available on the CBE Off-Campus Website.  Applications for Winter (Semester 2) are available on the website and are due by November 20th to your Off-Campus Coordinator Mr. Chambers.  Start your application early and come see Mr. Chambers with any questions you have in Student Services during Periods 1 and 4.
