Ernest Manning Off-Campus Education Programs

Ernest Manning Off-Campus Education Programs are designed to help students recognize their special gifts, talents, skills and interests, by putting their education into a meaningful framework. Our programs play a vital role in assisting students’ transition into the workforce and post-secondary education. Students who participate in Off-Campus Education benefit by:

  • learning and developing the knowledge and skills demanded by business, while enhancing their future employability.
  • gaining valuable hands-on work-related experiences, that open up additional opportunities for future employment.
  • the opportunity to gain insight to their career development options, which support successful transition from school to work and from school to a post-secondary institution.

Work Experience ProgramWork Experience is available to high school students who are already working or volunteering and want to earn credits towards their high school diploma.


Extended Opportunities through Chinook Learning

Fall/Winter: Chinook Learning Services works with specific program partners, to coordinate learning & earning opportunities for students with specialized organizations. Chinook provides a work experience teacher for each organization, while supervising students from a variety of Calgary Board of Education schools. Summer: Summer Work Experience and Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) credits can also be earned through Chinook Learning Services Summer Off-Campus Program.
