Ernest Manning High School Weekly Rundown March 30 - April 3
It was great connecting with so many families last week, whether through our first-ever Career Speed Mentoring Day or through Parent-Teacher conferences. There was a great buzz throughout the school all day and into the evening on Thursday. We hope students are able to take advantage of this Spring Break, whether they are working part time, on holiday, applying for post-secondary or catching up on missed work so they start back on a positive footing.
As a complement to all the detailed information found on the Ernest Manning High School website, here is your Weekly Rundown Spring Break Edition.

EMHS SPRING PRODUCTION TICKETS ON SALE
Ernest Manning High School with the Visual and Performing Arts Department presents:
Alice in Wonderland: A dramatization of Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass" by Alice Gerstenberg
Directed By: Mr. Pihlainen and Ms. Gallinger
A rabbit runs.
Curiosity follows.
When Alice chases the White Rabbit, she plunges into Wonderland—a twisted world where nothing plays by the rules and every corner hides something stranger than the last. Familiar characters appear in unfamiliar ways: a grinning Cheshire Cat, a chaotic Mad Hatter, and the dangerously unpredictable Queen of Hearts. In this darker Wonderland, nonsense feels a little more rebellious and curiosity might come with consequences. Step down the rabbit hole—things are about to get weird.
There are no content or language warnings
Runtime: 1.5 hours
Dates: April 14 - April 16, 2026
Time: 7pm
Cost: $16
Mad Hatter Tea Party
Picture Wonderland throwing a tea party after midnight and refusing to behave. Before the show, tumble down the rabbit hole for our Mad Hatter Tea Party, where elegance meets a little theatrical mischief. Guests will indulge in delicate pastries, savoury tea sandwiches, and oven-fresh scones served with a selection of teas—all prepared by our talented Culinary Arts program. It’s a deliciously curious way to begin your journey into our darker, punk-inspired Wonderland. Come hungry, bring your curiosity, and don’t be surprised if the tea party gets a little strange.
Date: Wednesday, April 15
Time: 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Cost: $20
*Limited tickets.
