Ernest Manning Weekly Rundown

March 17 - March 21

Greetings Griffin families,

Hard to believe that Spring Break is upon us, starting this weekend. On behalf of all the staff at Manning, we wish you a restful break and an opportunity to switch gears before we head into the final Term of the school year. Before we get there, however, we look forward to hosting a Flex Day on Thursday, as well as Parent-Teacher interviews on Thursday evening and Friday morning.   As a complement to all the detailed information found on the Ernest Manning High School website, here is your Weekly Rundown for March 17-21.

Upcoming Flex Day

This Thursday, March 20 marks our next Flex Day, an opportunity for students to design their own learning for the day, by scheduling appointments with teachers to receive small-group instruction, reassessment or to complete missing assignments. It is also a day when students can study independently or with friends in our Learning Commons or Cafeteria. No attendance is taken on Flex Day, which runs from 9 am – 2 pm. If a student is not currently experiencing success (under 50) in a course or courses, parents will be notified, and the student is expected to attend Flex Day to improve his / her understanding of course material.

If you have any questions as to whether your child should attend Flex Day, please don’t hesitate to reach out to his/her teachers.

EMHS Parent-Teacher Conferences
